Compared to most other advertising media, if properly used the internet offers targeted advertising which can result in much higher sales. However, the online advertising spend of companies in developed countries has been partly converted to the monthly earnings of online workers in India. There are three types of online work . One type of work is "paid for clicking emails", another type is "paid for running ad bars" and another type is "paid for surveys" . The emails, ad bar or surveys are about a product or service or idea.
The companies want their advertisements to be viewed by a large number of their target audience to increase their sales. Most of the products or services are not available or even relevant to people in India. Showing advertisements in Greek or Latin for pork & beef products during the telecast of India-Pakistan cricket match in India is a waste of money for the advertisers. Similarly, the advertisers realize that the money they are spending on the clicks/ad bar views from India is a waste of money. They usually stop advertising using the website or withhold payment once they realise that they money is being wasted . The online workers usually receive their payment only after the advertiser pays the website and could either not receive any money or find their income suddenly terminated. Many online advertising networks already do not accept legitimate websites from India due to widespread prevalence of click fraud.
More companies will advertise on the internet in future but they will develop technology/software that will
1. Detect click fraud - if large number of clicks are coming from a specific PC regularly, they will not pay for the clicks
2.Display advertisement according to the region/country in which the internet
user is located - geo targeting
3. More Indian companies will advertise using the internet, but the amount they
offer per click will be so low, online clicking jobs will not be worthwhile
